I am a wise mom who loves reading wise quotes. I like citations, quotes, proverbs or adages coming from different sources.

I enjoy gathering those that help me to empower myself as a woman and a mother.

There are some citations that I feel I can relate to. And, depending on where you are in your life, some quotes really inspire you to make a difference in life.

I am very open-minded about where the wisdom come from as long as it provokes inside some breakthrough. So that I can learn from it and make some changes in the way I do or view things.

Wise citations for wise mom can be coming from well-known authors or not. And, they can well be coming from spiritual texts such as the Bible.

Below, I have selected those I am particularly fond of. The list is more bigger than that but I have chosen just a few for the blog.

Some Mom Quotes From authors and speakers

Honoré de Balzac said: “The heart of a mother is a deep abyss at the bottom of which you will always find forgiveness.

So well said!

I’ve just started my journey of motherhood so for the moment I cannot say that I have experienced a lot of trouble with my son. However, I can clearly understand what he meant by forgiveness.
When you are a mum you experience unconditional love for your children. So no matter what they are up to, you always will forgive and love them.

Another citation, I like is from an American poet and essayist called Ralph Waldo Emerson, who once said:

Men are what their mothers made them.

I always believe that behind a great man there is a woman. And, this person can be his mother.

That why, it is so crucial for me the way I raise my son. As I am a role model I have to do my best for providing him the best resources in order for him to thrive later in his adult life.

Henry Ward Beecher said: “The mother’s heart is the child’s schoolroom.

Here below a citation about mother and child relationship.

Erich Fromm, was a German psychologist who wrote: “The mother-child relationship is paradoxical and, in a sense, tragic. It requires the most intense love on the mother’s side, yet this very love must help the child grow away from the mother, and to become fully independent.

A child does need the love of his mom to develop normally and yet he or her cannot stay dependent on it but rather use it as a strength to move forward.

These citations above make me reflect on different factors that affect my son’s development.

Then, there are other quotes that are not from our time but are very much relevant nowadays.

Mom quotes from the Bible

These are quotes from the bible that I particularly cherish as well.

Proverb 22:6
Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

I know this proverb since I was a child as I grew up in a very religious family.

I’ve always be impressed by this quote because it tells you that once a mom, parent or carer give to her child a good education from the start the child can only do good in life.
Although there are some exception, it is so true and powerful.

Giving a good foundation to my son, Joshua is my goal. Hopefully, he will know what to do with it.
At the end of the day, as a mom, I do my share and it will be up to him if he wants to follow the path or not.

Proverb 14:1: “Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands.

A wise mom is the one who make a house a home. She is the one who raises the children, take care of her husband and look after the household. She is the heart of the family. She makes sure that everything coordinate nicely.

Finally, these wise citations for wise moms help you in your journey of motherhood.
